Frandi's artisan bakery in the little village of Teleskof has been restored, giving hope, employment for 6 young people, who can once again provide for their families and fresh bread for the community!

Two weeks ago we told you about the project, but we thought you would like to see more. Watch the film above - fresh from northern Iraq via our team on the ground - and see for yourself that the new bakery in Teleskof is now officially open! The bakery, named Al-Mahaba specialises in Lebanese bread for the village and surrounding area.

Once again a big thank you to The Jerusalem Trust who together with generous donations from you, our supporters, jointly funded the project. Working together with an Iraqi NGO, the Friends of Youth Forum, the project was completed in May 2022.

Teleskof was on the front line of the battle with ISIS and the community fled the area in terror. Now they are returning. Ultimately, our Nineveh SEED projects encourage people to stay or return to the Nineveh Plain - to play their part in rebuilding this Christian community after so much devastation.
