Hope does not disappoint us

Stories of hope from the Middle East
The Apostle Paul wrote this to the Christians in Rome 2,000 years ago, '... we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character and character produces hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.' Thank the Lord!
We have seen this in practice in the Middle East time and again. Christians who have suffered so much for their faith show wonderful grace and hope in their lives. It shines through in their demeanor and in the love they show to others.
Last week we sent out a survey to our supporters. One question asked 'Which of our website pages do you find interesting?' The most popular pages turn out to be the 'Stories' pages.
Lots of people sent us encouraging comments as part of the survey. Here are just a few of them:
'The videos are very good and help me to understand the work you do'
'I have enjoyed the prayer space recently - short but impactful'
'Personal stories help me to pray'
'Just keep the stories coming; things I can share with my church that are attention-grabbing and real'
'The personal stories are always interesting and keep one focused on the problems so many have or still face'
So we thought this week we'd share some of our supporters' favourite stories of hope with you.
