More Women and Children are Suffering
The situation for refugees in Jordan is becoming increasingly dire. As international aid budgets are cut, families find themselves in extreme poverty, more refugees are arriving to our Olive Tree Centres. We need your support to ensure they receive the assistance and support they so desperately need.

Please donate to support the refugees
Thousands of refugee children are unable to attended school and have been deprived of the right to learn and grow. At our Olive Tree Centres, we provide classes in English, Arabic and mathematics to equip children with essential skills. We also provide activities and safe spaces for them to play, make new friends and simply be children. Please help us to support more children in their development and education.
Likewise, our women's empowerment programme addresses the acute psychosocial needs of women who have faced the trauma of conflict. The initiatives go beyond skills training; they foster healing, community and dignity. The women tell us that these classes are profoundly life-changing, providing them with the strength to rebuild their lives and support their families. Please help us to reach the growing number of women in need.
£24.50 could enable a child to benefit from therapeutic art classes
£49 could provide vocational training for a couple of women
£87.50 could support specialised 'Learning through Play' for five refugee children
£175 could contribute towards a psychosocial support project for ten women

Finding Refuge after fleeing war and persecution

Omaima's Story: Hope Admist Pain
"After my husband was murdered for being a Christian, I fled Iraq with my three children. It was harrowing, especially when my daughter and I were kidnapped and held at gunpoint. In Jordan, we heard about the Olive Tree Centre through our Church, and it was a door of grace at a time when we desperately needed support. We participated in English classes, and the education and support the centre provided were free, a sign of God's love and mercy in the midst of our exile. I feel comfort and strength in Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is near the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Aram's Story: Finding new talents
“I’ve lived in Jordan for more than 8 years. I started coming to the church here and taking the courses such as music, where I learned to play the guitar which I love to play. I am now learning Arabic and I am seeing a huge difference in my skills.”

Elham's story: Rebuilding my life
"After fleeing the war in Iraq, I ended up being very lonely in Jordan. I didn't talk to anyone and I felt awful about the whole situation. Since coming to the Olive Tree Centre, I have made new friends, learnt new things, discovered new hobbies and found a new me! I especially enjoy seeing the children enjoying the fun activities."
