Health Programmes

Healthcare is a vital part of Mosaic’s work, meeting urgent needs while helping communities to recover, rebuild and regain dignity. We support existing, locally led health facilities that are already trusted by the communities they serve, helping them to keep essential care available for those who might otherwise be unable to access treatment.

Al Ahli Hospital, Gaza

In the midst of Gaza’s devastating humanitarian crisis, Al Ahli Arab Hospital continues to provide lifesaving care for some of the most vulnerable people in the city. Run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, Al Ahli is a long-established and trusted Christian hospital, serving people of all backgrounds with dignity and compassion.

Mosaic partners with the Diocese of Jerusalem to help keep this vital hospital functioning, supporting the medical staff, supplies and essential running costs needed to sustain care in an increasingly desperate context. At a time when access to healthcare can mean the difference between life and death, Al Ahli remains a place of hope, healing and practical help.

St Luke's Hospital, Nablus

In the West Bank, access to healthcare is becoming increasingly strained, with Government Ministry of Health services now severely reduced and reportedly functioning only three days a week. In this context, St Luke’s Hospital in Nablus plays a vital role in ensuring that vulnerable patients can still access essential medical care when they need it most.

Run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, St Luke’s is a trusted, locally rooted hospital serving people of all backgrounds with compassion and professionalism. Mosaic partners with the Diocese to help sustain this crucial provision, supporting the staff, supplies and running costs that enable St Luke’s to continue offering care in a context of growing pressure and urgent need.

St George's Medical Centre, Baghdad

At St George’s Anglican Church in Baghdad, healthcare is offered as part of a wider ministry of welcome, compassion and practical support for some of the city’s most vulnerable people. The church’s medical clinic provides free or heavily subsidised care for those who would otherwise struggle to access treatment, including families facing poverty, displacement, insecurity and rising living costs.

Serving people of all faiths and backgrounds, the clinic reflects the unique role of St George’s as a place of hope and refuge in the heart of Baghdad. Mosaic supports this locally led work so that essential healthcare can continue to be available alongside the church’s wider outreach, helping people receive not only medical treatment, but dignity, care and belonging.

Olive Tree Centre Medical Days

At Mosaic’s Olive Tree Centres in Jordan, regular medical days provide more than 300 refugees with free medical care and advice, free or subsidised medicines, and referrals to local hospitals when further treatment is needed. This support is vital for families who often cannot afford healthcare and may delay seeking help until conditions have become much more serious. By bringing trusted medical care into the heart of the community, the Olive Tree Centres help refugees access treatment earlier, reduce anxiety, and receive practical support with dignity and compassion.
