Update on our projects in the Middle East
Across Gaza and the West Bank
The situation remains deeply fragile. Hospitals continue to operate under immense pressure, with shortages of supplies, overstretched staff, and communities facing ongoing insecurity and trauma.
Through our partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, we continue to support both Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza and St Luke’s in Nablus, enabling care to continue for those who have nowhere else to turn. In the midst of conflict, the hospital remains a place of care and refuge.
Our Olive Tree Centres for Refugees in Jordan
At our Olive Tree Centres, families continue to arrive each week, many having fled conflict and instability. Women are engaging in vocational training and psychosocial support, rebuilding not only livelihoods but confidence and community.
The current escalation across the region is deeply re-traumatising for many of those we serve. These are families who have already fled war, who have already experienced loss, displacement, and fear. The sounds, images, and uncertainty of renewed conflict bring those experiences sharply back to the surface.
This makes our focus on holistic psychosocial care more important than ever. Alongside practical support and skills training, our centres are places where individuals can begin to process trauma, rebuild a sense of safety, and rediscover hope within a supportive community.
These centres are not just places of provision, they are places of healing.
