Emergency Response in a Time of Escalating Conflict

The escalating war in the Middle East is having devastating consequences for civilians across the region. As violence intensifies, families are being displaced, healthcare systems are under severe strain, and already vulnerable communities are facing renewed trauma.

Through our trusted network of local partners, Mosaic Middle East is responding urgently. In Gaza and the West Bank we are helping sustain emergency healthcare through Christian-run hospitals providing life-saving treatment despite severe shortages. Across the region we are also delivering humanitarian aid, including food and essential supplies for displaced families.

At the same time, the psychological impact of conflict is profound. Mosaic’s partners are expanding psychosocial trauma support for children, women and families, helping communities find hope and stability in the midst of war.

Lifesaving Care on the Frontlines of Conflict

Through our long-standing partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, Mosaic is helping sustain two Christian-run hospitals serving communities regardless of faith: Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza and St Luke’s Hospital in Nablus in the West Bank. As conflict escalates, these hospitals remain vital lifelines, providing treatment to patients despite growing shortages of medicines, equipment, and operational resources. Because these institutions are deeply rooted and already serving their communities, support given now can translate into immediate impact: keeping hospitals open, staff employed, and patients treated. Yet this stability remains fragile. Without continued funding, essential services could quickly become unsustainable. By working through trusted local partners, Mosaic ensures urgent support reaches those delivering life-saving care now, strengthening healthcare systems already operating under extraordinary pressure.

Emergency Refugee Support Through the Olive Tree Programme

As conflict escalates across the Middle East, more families are being forced to flee their homes, with many seeking safety in neighbouring Jordan. Mosaic’s Olive Tree Programme is responding by providing urgent support to refugee families through our network of community centres in Amman. These centres offer practical humanitarian assistance including food parcels, basic supplies, and safe spaces for families facing deep uncertainty. At the same time, our teams are expanding psychosocial trauma support, helping children and parents cope with fear, displacement, and the emotional impact of war. As new arrivals increase and existing refugees face renewed trauma, the Olive Tree Centres are adapting quickly to meet growing needs: providing stability, dignity, and hope to some of the region’s most vulnerable families.

Help Sustain Critical Care in Gaza and the West Bank

This appeal is both urgent and practical. It is about sustaining services that are already saving lives: keeping emergency rooms staffed, wards open, and treatment available to families who have nowhere else to turn. It is also about standing alongside vulnerable Christian communities whose hospitals quietly serve people of all faiths, often at significant personal and financial cost.

Even when headlines shift elsewhere, the need remains. Your support today translates directly into functioning clinics, retained medical staff, and continued access to care for those under daily strain. We are committed to stewarding every contribution responsibly, ensuring that each gift strengthens the resilience of these hospitals and protects essential services that entire communities depend upon.

Pray now

As we journey through Lent toward the hope of Easter, we remember that the path to resurrection first passes through suffering and uncertainty. We pray for those in Gaza and the West Bank who are walking a long and painful road marked by fear, loss, and deep instability.

Lord of compassion, draw near to the sick, the injured, and the grieving. Strengthen doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who continue to serve with courage and faithfulness. Protect healthcare facilities and all who seek refuge within their walls.

In this Lenten season of repentance and renewal, deepen our prayer and enlarge our hearts. May hospitals such as Al Ahli and St. Luke’s be places of healing, dignity, and steadfast hope. And as Easter approaches, remind us that even in the darkest wilderness, Your light is not overcome and new life is still possible.
